Why Vegetarians Live Longer

Eating a plant-based diet may let you live eight years longer than the general population, says a recent research report.
 
A recent article in the Huffington Post postulates that vegetarians live on average almost eight years longer than the general population, which is similar to the gap between smokers and nonsmokers.
